About Me

My name is Lori, I am a mom, wife, accountant & now business owner! I have two beautiful daughters, a husband, and two fur babies Argo (Bulldog) & my pride & joy Louie (Cat).  Everyone in our house knows Louie is the King!

7 years ago I quit my demanding job as Corporate Accountant, it was a major adjustment in my life. I went from working 50-60 hours weeks to a stay at home mom and helping my husband build his company. 

For the last year or so I have felt like something was missing in my life, but I did not want to leave my house to find it lol. I still wanted to be present for my girls (now teenagers) but I did not want the demanding hours of the corporate world. I have never been truly happy working in an office setting, as I am more of an introvert.  I am truly my happiest in my own home, with my family. My husband and I have built two homes that we love.  My joy in life is creating. I love designing, decorating & creating anything that brings happiness to others! I have designed & renovated 3 homes without the help of any designers, I have done a complete backyard renovation with a pool installation.  I have helped friends & family design spaces in their homes & staged homes for realtors.  Every holiday in our home is celebrated to the fullest, my girls still get excited when they see the house is decorated for any occasion! I love that and I never want it to change.

At 43 years old, I have turned my passion into my very own brand, Unsocial Influence! I gave my husband a 2 week notice (JK) and told him he needed to find another accountant to run his business because it is now my turn to build my dream! 

MEANING BEHIND THE BRAND

The name "Unsocial Influence" has so much meaning.  As an introvert, who also struggles with ADD & high functioning anxiety, I have often been labeled as "Unsocial".  It's the absolute opposite of who I am. When I get nervous in social settings, I am quiet, add the fact that I have never been a person to follow the crowd or is bothered by how others perceive me, this has not helped the "unsocial" label lol.  

My entire goal behind my brand is to show others like me that they too can remain who they are, be successful & make a difference.  You do not have to be something that your not to influence & help others! As a stay at home mom & accountant to my husbands business, I lost a sense of who I was.  I was so wrapped up in making sure that everyone else was taken care of, that I lost site of what made me happy. This is something that is not talked about with stay at home parents, and it should be. I have experienced both being a full time working parent & a stay at home mom with my kids and they are equally challenging in their own way. The main goal in life is to be truly happy and to live a life that I don't need a vacation from!

I hope my story inspires others like me to pursue their dreams and also for brands to want to work with me! I have so much to offer and I would love to create content and to show others that if I can do it, so can you!
